We were thrilled when we learned that PVS would be returning to Val d'Isère for the first time in over 20 years. We have agitated for this destination for a long time, so clearly we had to go. The original plan for 2017 was to go to Grindelwald, which would also have been a great experience, but the Blue Ridge Ski Council cancelled that option.
There were trip extensions offered to Lyon and Nice. We had already visited Lyon the previous fall and didn't have any particular desire to see Nice, so we opted only for the ski week.
There are a couple of ways to follow us on our trip. I've tried to make the narrative a complete summary, but I've used many links to other web sites to provide additional details and sometimes pictures. You can either stick with the basic narrative or explore the various links. At the time this album was created the links were all valid, but the WWW is in constant flux and that can change.
