There are a couple of ways to follow us on our trip. I've tried to make the narrative a complete summary, but I've used many links to other web sites to provide additional details and sometimes pictures. You can either stick with the basic narrative or explore the various links. At the time this album was created the links were all valid, but the WWW is in constant flux and that can change. If you encounter broken links, please send us some email.

It is very convenient for us that my brother Emmett and Jim's sister Grace live in the same general area of Florida. That enables us to efficiently visit them both. The last time we went south we drove, but this time we flew. Allegiant Airlines offers non-stop service from Roanoke to Sanford a couple of times a week. That makes it a pretty easy trip. We keep talking about the possibility of someday taking the auto-train, but I doubt we'll ever get around to it.

We had planned a late-March trip to Florida to visit our kinfolk there. We were particularly looking forward to it this year because the Virginia weather had been especially cold. As it turned out, the weather in Florida was pretty sullen, but it at least it wasn't snowing!

The first part of our week there was spent visiting my brother and his family in Winter Springs. The remainder was spent with Jim's sister and her husband in The Villages.
