Back in 1971 some friends and I decided to take a road trip to New England. In addition to myself there were Fred Whitney and Anne & Alan Green. It was pretty unstructured. Although we were traveling to the same places, we didn't exactly travel together. Mostly we would agree to meet somewhere in a day or two and then make our own way there. It actually worked out really well since we weren't always bickering over where to go or what to do. After a lapse of 45 years I can't remember the specifics other than what is documented in these pictures, but they confirm that we joined forces in (at least) Provincetown, MA, and Acadia National Park, ME.
